DESCRIPTION |
|
 Many
applications require high-resolution, multi-turn position
sensing. In response to market demands, AMCI engineered the
HTT-20 series of IP64 rated resolver transducers to provide
absolute position feedback for up to 1,800 turns with a maximum
resolution up to 4,096 counts/turn. The actual number of counts
per turn depends on the transducer and the electronics used
to decode the position.
Each transducer contains two resolvers that are geared together
in a vernier arrangement. For the 100 turn and 180 turn transducers,
this arrangement requires only two gears. This mechanical
simplicity makes the HTT-20 transducers more reliable then
transducers that have a multi-pass gear train between the
two resolvers. The 1,000 and 1,800 turn transducers are also
mechanically simple, having only a single pass 10:1 gear ratio
between the input shaft and the two vernier resolvers. This
mechanical simplicity allowed AMCI to design the HTT-20 transducers
as a space saving, compact package. These resolver transducers
have a 5/8" keyed shaft, AMCI's standard 1/4" X
20 mounting holes, sealed bearings, and a mil-spec connector.
