NXEE2 MINI-NEXUS SSI INTERFACE
AMCI’s NXEE2 mini-NEXUS SSI interface product is the easiest, most flexible way to bring SSI sensor data into any PLC-based control system. These plug and play SSI interfaces are the trusted solution for bringing SSI data into your PLC when a plug-in module solution does not exist, such as with Rockwell Automation's CompactLogix 5380. AMCI's NXEE2 connects a wide variety of SSI sensors to your PLC using a standard network connection, and it programs using the host controller's (PLC) native software - nothing new to buy, nothing new to learn!
The two channel NXEE2 product is a direct interface to most Gray Code or Binary SSI sensors, including rotary encoders, linear sensors, barcode readers, and laser distance sensors. Additional NXEE2 features include: position preset, count direction, position scaling, and differential inputs that can be programmed as general purpose inputs, to Apply the Preset Value, or to capture the scaled data value.
Distributed I/O
AMCI’s Distributed I/O systems combine hard to find specialty functions with a network interface, simplifying installation and cutting costs. These systems are compatible with any networked PLC/PAC and easily program through the host PLC’s software. The innovative product design simplifies installation, optimizes network performance, and ensures system integrity.

PLC-Based Specialty I/O Solutions
Functionally, the AMCI NEXUS controllers and interfaces deliver the same level of PLC integration as their plug-in module counterparts, but with much more flexibility from a systems standpoint. Rather than limit these versatile products to one PLC brand or specific backplane, all units are Din-rail mountable and equipped with a network interface that allows connection to various controllers. AMCI NEXUS specialty I/O integrate with ANY network enabled PLC that supports EtherNet/IP, Modbus-TCP, or Profinet.
The flexibility of a NEXUS controls solution saves time and money, letting customers choose whatever PLC best meets their needs, or change PLCs without having to re-specify and repurchase plug-in modules. And because the NEXUS integrates via network communication, PLC platforms no longer restrict compatibility and integration.
