AMCI DC25 Absolute Digital Single-turn Rotary Shaft Encoder

FEATURES:

  • IP67 rating
  • Stainless steel shaft
  • Cast aluminum housing
  • All mounting styles
  • Competitively priced
  • Ideal for high-shock applications - withstands mechanical shock & vibration

DESCRIPTION

The AMCI absolute digital rotary shaft encoder is another market leading DuraCoder. Utilizing the DuraCoder's resolver based sensor technology, this rotary encoder provides unique position data output in relation to the shaft position, with up to 12 bit resolution.

The absolute DC25 digital output DuraCoder assigns a unique position value to each measured increment. This prevents erroneous readings caused by power failure. When power is restored, the absolute position data is reported without the need for a homing sequence or reference signal.

Package styles for this absolute digital rotary shaft encoder include flange or servo with side or end connector.

ORDERING INFORMATION:

AMCI DC25 Absolute Digital Single-turn Rotary Shaft Encoder Ordering Guide

Generate your absolute digital rotary shaft encoder part number by using this helpful ordering guide. Starting from left to right, use the following diagram and table to choose the desired options. Each gray box must contain one or more alphanumeric character. Please note the following…
  • The Field Programmable Resolution and Output Code, which is Output Scaling Option 8, is standard and is available at no additional cost.
  • Units with the Field Programmable Resolution and Output Code uses jumpers to field select both the counts per turn and output code.
  • Units where a numerical Output Scaling is specified will have the counts per turn permanently set by the factory. This option will require that you place five characters in the Output Scaling box.
  • Customers concerned with availability should request lead times on units with both the side and end connector location options.

DuraCoder Type Notes:

  1. Level Update – The outputs continuously update when a logic “1” voltage is supplied to the input pin.
  2. Edge Update – The outputs update only when the voltage supplied to the input makes a transition.
  3. Multiplex Option. This option allows multiple DuraCoders on a single set of input wires. When used, this option redefines the Direction Input Pin (pin R) as an Output Enable pin. The outputs will be passive when this pin is pulled to GND.
