Direct Plug-In Replacement

Rockwell Automation announced the 1756.jpgphase-out of its 1756 ControlLogix-M02AE module, scheduled for December 2024. In response to this transition, AMCI has developed a direct plug-in replacement module, leveraging its recognition through Rockwell Automations Technology Partner Program and a long-standing collaborative relationship.

The discontinuation of the 1756-M02AE module posed a challenge for users relying on it for their motion control applications. These users required a seamless replacement that would not require modifications to existing systems and would ensure continued compatibility with Allen-Bradley PLCs via Ethernet/IP.

AMCI introduced a new replacement module that meets these needs.

  • Seamless Integration: The replacement module is designed to the 1756-M02AE, requiring no modifications to existing setups.
  • Compatibility: It maintains form and fit compatibility with existing module and interfaces with Allen-Bradley PLCs through Ethernet/P.
  • Functionality: This module is ideal for analog motion control applications, providing a 10V analog output-command reference and supporting a variety of position feedback devices.
  • Control Capacity: Each module controls up to two axes, with the ability to use multiple modules to control up to 32 axes per ControlLogix controller.

AMCI’s replacement module ensures continuity in motion control applications, providing users with a reliable, drop-in solution to replace the phased-out Rockwell Automation module. This development safeguards the functionality of existing systems and supports the transition with minimal disruption.
