The Package
One integrated motion device. One streamlined connection to your control system. We took a motor, drive and controller and made it an intelligent IO-Link device. AMCI's SMD17L is a size 17 3-in-1 Integrated Stepper Motor, Drive, and Controller package with an IO-Link interface. It is a self-contained motion control product that is easy to install while delivering best in class performance at a competitive price.
AMCI's SMD17L incorporates a Stepper Motor + Drive + Controller into a single product that interfaces to your PLC or PAC through an IO-Link Master. We've reduced total system costs and simplified installation because you only have to purchase one product versus a separate controller, drive, and motor. Plus, programming & configuration is streamlined because it uses standard commands through your PLC's software that are communicated via the interface. No additional software is required, and you don't need to learn another programming language! AMCI's SMD17L integrates with your PLC or PAC, saving you time and money.
Superior Durability
All units come standard with rugged industrial M12 connectors to provide superior durability. For applications requiring an IP64 rating (protection from dust and splashing water), you can opt for an SMD17L unit with a shaft seal. IP65/67 is also available with the epoxy coating option.
Move Verification
AMCI's SMD17L Series is available with an incremental or absolute encoder for move verification and closed-loop feedback.
Flexible Power Source
The SMD17L can be powered by an external supply or directly from the IO-Link Master, reducing the need for additional wiring, cost, or an external power supply.
AMCI's SMD Series is available with a Stainless Steel Coating that provides superior, long-lasting protection against corrosion and wear in even the toughest industrial environments. AMCI's coating provides the best protection available from the harmful effects of ultraviolet rays, chemicals, oils, alkalis, food acids, water immersion, abrasion, and high-pressure washdowns.
